Superhero

I wrote this a few days ago. It's supossed to be about a superhero struggling against the villain. I didn't really like it though. I couldn't come up with a finishing line I liked either. I've got another darker one I'll post later.

The picture is something I did almost 2 years ago. I'd love to do a comic about him some day but that's a long way off. The actual pencils on it took me probably 12 hours spread over about 2 weeks. When I do these realistic fully shaded pencils I can never just sit down and do the whole thing from start to finish. I can spend about 1-2 hours getting it started but then I've gotta stop and come back to it later or else I'll go crazy!

Superman

This is a work in progress of Superman. The concept is that he's looking up at a threat he doesn't think he can defeat.

It's a long way from being finished. I've gotta do the "S" and finish the shading. After that I'll try to clean up the smudges as best I can.

Saw this video for 'Stargate - The Ark of Truth'

There still hasn't been a lot of footage from the movie shown (except the bootleg but I don't watch bootlegs) but if you watch carefully you'll see this giant spaceship (It's the Odyssey) activate the cloaking device... awesome. Stargate has some of the best looking ships in SciFi.

Slam Dunk Contest

Dwight Howard put on one of the best performances ever in the slam dunk contest. The irony is that the dunk everybody is still talking about is the "Superman" dunk... you know... the one he didn't actually dunk... :) He still deserved to win though. Now EA Sports needs to add that to next year's NBA Live.
