Review: The Rejects (Zuda)

After a life of idol worship, two social misfits discover their own superpowers. Deciding to take up the mantle of justice, they discover that it’s more difficult than comic books ever let on. Unreliable powers certainly don’t help.

I liked this one. It started out kinda boring but by the end I thought it was good.

2 kids with super-powers bust up a heist and fight 3 "stooges" that spend more time arguing about 'The Sopranos' than stealing...

The best part was probably the fat kid that instigates the whole "lets be superheroes" thing, coming up with ridiculous names (Punchboy and Kid Electro) only to get his ass whooped as quickly as the fight starts.

If the story-telling is over-the-top, the art is sitting comfortably on the top. It's like a cross between traditional superhero comic books and the Sunday funnies. It lacks a lot of detail, but it's good enough that that doesn't matter.

It's a shame we only get one winner a month on Zuda, because this comic is another one that's good enough to follow but not good enough to be the one single comic that gets to stay. Hopefully the creators will put it up on another site (Maybe Webcomics Nation)

Webcomics Nation Is Down

As of right now WebcomicsNation.com is down. There's no information about why the site is down or when it's expected to come back up. If it doesn't come back up soon, I'll re-run today's comic, but if it does I'll have a new strip for tomorrow.

The Town Hall For It All

I did this political cartoon for today's 'Untelevised' installment. This one is cropped from the standard 700px width of the comic though. If you're reading this from the Untelevised website you can see what I mean. I'd planned on doing a different strip today but this idea kinda hit me late last night and I went with it. Hope you like it.

Untelevised Hits 10000

Untelevised reached 10,000 pageviews yesterday. It's been my most successful webcomic so far. Shan and Shanny is still ahead of it with about 16300 pageviews but that series is almost 2 years old now (Untelevised is less than 2 months old)

I've been wanting to make some t-shirt designs based on the series so hopefully I can do that sometime next week. If anybody has any requests let me know. (email: ShanBruceLee@yahoo.com)

The Alien Review

This is a new series I'm about to launch tomorrow called 'The Alien Review'!! If you haven't figured it out already, it's about a bunch of aliens that review stuff. :) The first two aliens are Jintuan and Bob. I'm starting with them because they're my favorite two so far. I'll be adding more aliens as the series progresses.

Some of the stuff I'll be reviewing are movies, comics, TV shows, etc. The first installment is a review of Stargate - The Ark of Truth. I haven't made my mind up about what will be next but I'll probably talk about some comics or something.

THERE WILL BE NO SPOILERS AT ALL!

The point of the strip isn't to actually review anything. It's really just to make jokes about stuff. I'm not gonna post an installment that says "...but the most shocking part of 'The Empire Strikes Back' is when we learn that Darth Vader is in fact Luke's father!!"

There'll be none of that.

And I am in no way affiliated with any of the shows, comics, movies, companies, producers, creators or ANYBODY that is IN ANY WAY involved with ANYTHING I talk about.
