I'm not against poetry webcomics... but I'm not for them either. I'm just not that into them. So when I started reading this I knew I wasn't gonna like it.
That doesn't change the fact that it's a good webcomic. It's just poetic enough to be a poem, but not so poetic that all you wanna do is grab the writer by the neck and shake the shit out of them until they "stop being pretentious and just spit it out already!!"
Actually, only the first half of this is a "poetry" comic before settling in to an actual story. That part didn't really grab me either but like I've always said about the Zuda format - you don't really get enough to make a solid decision on weather or not you want this single webcomic to be the one you get to keep reading in just 8 pages... and because of the nature of this comic, that's more like 4 pages.
The main character seems cool, but I'd love to know a little more about what's going on in this world before voting for it.
The art is fantastic. For those of you who've read Clinical Assassin", the graphic novel I wrote, or my political webcomic strip Untelevised, you've probably noticed I love to use grayscale (When J.C. offered to do the art on Clinical Assassin in grayscale I couldn't say no) with only a few pieces of color (ie Untelevised)
It was cool to see something similar in this comic. When Scarlett is collecting fire and water, the subtle use of color for the two elements adds a whole new... element (sorry) to the art. It would've been nice to see those colors standing out on a grayscale canvas instead of the plain looking inked line-art. But don't think I'm criticizing the art because I'm not. I really did love it.
Overall this one does a good job of mixing poetry with art. If you're in to that kinda thing you might like this.

The Infamous Reset Button...
Starting tomorrow (technically tonight at 1:00 AM) the Clinical Assassin story will relaunch from the beginning! This time it'll follow a daily schedule and run straight through all 28 pages of the first story non-stop.

New Layout For My Webcomics
I've made some changes to the layout of my webcomics. Mostly to Untelevised and also a few changes to Clinical Assassin
I'm still looking into making a few more "adjustments" later but I like it for now.

In More Important News...
I was working on the cover for the 'Clinical Assassin' print version (28 pgs) this morning when I accidentally spilt water on it... (insert sad face here)
It wasn't a lot and the pencils aren't ruined so I may be able to fix it once I get it inked and scanned onto my computer.

Clinical Assassin
I just got the final pages of Clinical Assassin from J.C. and they look amazing. Anybody that's followed the story and enjoyed the art so far will love the artwork in the final chapter.

'Shan and Shanny' Put On Hold
I've been really busy lately with Untelevised and the print version of Clinical Assassin and as a result I haven't been able to do anything with the Shan and Shanny series.
It's not that I've completely neglected the series, it's just that... well I've pretty much completely neglected it. But I do plan on eventually doing some more pages for the series. I have a lot of fun stuff floating around in the back of my head that I had planned on doing eventually, but at this point I'd rather focus on my more serious and, honestly, more important work.

Off and Running
I'm just 3 days in now and Untelevised is off to a great start. Of the four webcomics I've done, 'Untelevised' has had the best 1st and 2nd day and the 3rd looks like it could be even better (it's 4:00am as I'm writing this)
It was my second highest comic yesterday (based on page views) which is pretty impressive considering the comic consists of one page and a title page. It even gave Clinical Assassin a run for it's money. (Just to put that in perspective, 'Clinical Assassin' is by far my highest ranking comic - It nearly doubles the total page hits for my other two comics on Saturdays, the day I update it)
Let's hope this holds. Like I said in this article yesterday, I've already got the first 10 strips ready to be uploaded so I've got a good head start. By the time I reach that 10th strip I should have a good idea of how well the comic is gonna be recieved.
I'll be sure to update again around that time.

Clinical Assassin
I just wanted to give everybody an update for Clinical Assassin. Chapter 2 is currently running on WebcomicsNation.com and there's only a few installments left.
I've had some financial problems that have kept me from being able to work on the rest of the story, but as of right now chapter 3 is in development. I've talked to J.C. and gotten an agreement worked out for chapters 3 & 4.
The rest of the story will be considerably shorter than I'd originally intended, but it'll feel like a faster moving story now.
Once we've got the next two parts of the Clinical Assassin saga finished, we'll have the first completely finished story. Once we get to that point, I'll start looking at the diferent print-on-demand companies and figuring out which one I want to go with and I'll finally have a print version of Clinical Assassin available!

It's the first of the month again so the rankings reset. I checked my stats just a few minutes ago and all 3 comics were in the 50s :) This probably just means I was one of the first to get a vote today but if everybody continues to vote for me I could stay pretty high in the rankings this month. Webcomics Nation
WebcomicsNation.com went down yesterday and many of the creators lost their updates dating back to April 1 including myself. When they finally got the site back up this afternoon I was still missing a few of my most recent updates so tomorrow's 'Shan and Shanny' will be the page that should have went live last Thursday and 'Alien Show' will be the installment that should have gone live today. From here on, things should be fine. So PLEASE go check my sh*t out and let's hope I don't lose a huge chunk of my readers because there hasn't been anything new or because they couldn't load the site.
